Street style wear ft. Lockdown

Street Style Wear
ft. Lockdown

Pajamas, Faded T-shirt, messy bun and same old flip flops

Did I just describe you right now? Darling I would have never been able to tell if the story wasn’t the same here. But the other day I was thinking about it and realized what we are doing is called saving for later. We are saving all our boujie clothes for post lockdown. But why are we even doing that? Why are we allowing this lockdown to resist us from showcasing our creativity? Why aren’t we dressing up the way we want to? Why aren’t we LIVING?

Do you really feel good going (grocery shopping, bank, morning walks) out like that? I know we don’t feel bad but we don’t feel good either so why settle for anything that doesn’t make us happy?

And just because the mask covers your face does it also cover YOU?

In case it hasn’t crossed your mind yet, we have always dressed up for ourself in the first place and for no one else so who are we even waiting for?

Let us not see this lockdown as a restraint, rather an opportunity to explore and create new fashion fields. Let us not see masks as face covers, rather a style statement in our ootd.

So below mentioned are a few techniques so you can achieve that lockdown slay:

Monochrome that look

One color from top to bottom is what we call monochromatic look and here we are considering masks too. And to ace the art you need to keep two things in mind,

Before putting together an outfit
  •        Try to put together clothes of different materials like net, leather, cotton, silk, etc.
  •        Choose different shades and depth of the same hue like, sky blue, baby blue, cadet blue, royal blue, etc.

Color blocking is the answer

Color blocking is the easiest way to make your outfit stand out of the crowd, only if done right. But how do we do it right, so the safest way is to choose colors of the same color palette e.g. pastels, earth colors/ neutrals, neons, etc.

In simpler words every chosen color should have the same vibe.

Contrasting colors can be your savior

Contrasting is an art of identifying and bringing two complimentary colors together in such a way that the focus shifts from a particular color to the combination of both.

Red black
Pink blue
Green red
Blue yellow, are some popular color combinations.

That was just a brief on techniques you can apply and in case you want me to elaborate any particular technique via a separate blog. Comment down below or dm me, you know where. ;)

Let’s make masks a reason to dress up and not an excuse to dress down.

I hope to spot you slaying your lockdown looks
Thank you so much
I love yaaa
